Amidst the pandemic, few TV shows resumed the shooting with safety precaution. While, the government eased the lockdown, Indian audience will finally get to watch fresh episodes of their favourite serials. TV shows like Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke are back with fresh content.

In the recent events, actor Ritvik Arora will not be back on the show. While the producers have claimed unprofessional behaviour, the actor states that it is because of COVID-19 situation that he won’t be back on sets. Earlier, the producer Rajan Shahi mentioned in an interview that one of his lead actors is asking for a huge pay hike. He also mentioned that the actor is behaving unprofessionally and that he is Ritvik.

Rajan told Etimes, that the actor is behaving unprofessionally. Whenever they try to contact Ritvik, he hands over his phone to his father and then ask for almost double fee hike.

“A few weeks ago our supervising producer Vivek Jain called Ritvik. He said he could start shooting from July 1, but we should first speak to his father. That itself was unprofessional because he’s the actor, who has signed a contract with us. Yet, Vivek called his father, who asked for a raise in his remuneration, almost double of what he was being paid, and also a minimum 25-day work guarantee. What’s really wrong is the way he communicated it saying, ‘Don’t even think of calling back if you want to negotiate’. After this, Vivek reached out to Ritvik again, and even this time, he told us to speak to his father,” said the producer to the publication.

On the other hand, Ritvik claims that it is due to COVID-19 situation that he is not returning on set. He also claimed that his father is asking a small fee hike to motivate him to go back to work.
