Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan are vital components of the entertainment industry and have contributed to countless Bollywood blockbusters. The two have a strong friendship and have set goals for their partnership in Tinseltown. Salman and Shah Rukh are close friends and are frequently spotted together. Few people are aware, though, that in 2008, they got into a heated argument during Katrina Kaif’s birthday celebration. But the stars have moved on and don’t think it’s worth hanging on to.
Several media outlets have reported that Salman Khan, who was visibly drunk at the time, made fun of Shah Rukh Khan for his TV show, Kya Aap Panchvi Paas se Tez Hain?, and then accused him of being conceited. He was cited as saying, “You are a matlabi insaan. You only call people when you need them, and then don’t keep in touch.”
Salman Khan was upset that Shah Rukh Khan had declined his request to make a cameo in the latter’s next movie, Main Aur Mrs Khanna, at the time. Before that, Salman made an appearance for SRK in Om Shanti Om and even joined Katrina Kaif as a guest on Shah Rukh’s show Kaun Banega Crorepati. Salman received backlash from SRK, who made insulting comments about his game show on TV, Dus Ka Dum. Salman said he would knock SRK up at his own party after the latter threatened to hit him. But at this moment, Gauri Khan intervened, stating she was ready to leave, and she and her husband departed the celebration.
The paparazzi chased Salman and Shah Rukh’s battle nonstop, as it was the biggest Bollywood fight of 2008. Salman went so far as to say that SRK had insulted Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, who at the time was Abhishek Bachchan’s wife and was no longer related to him. Shah Rukh, however, remained silent about the issue until October 2008, at which point he claimed that Salman had childlike thinking and that they were not even friends. Shah Rukh Khan said, “I think like a father, while Salman thinks like a child! There is not much common between us, we think differently, we speak differently. We have spent a good time together. But with time, that fact has got blurred. We are happy in our worlds. If we come together it is good. If we don’t it’s even better. We are not friends.”
However, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan had an understanding and reconciliation back in 2013. The moment the two celebrities hugged at Baba Siddique’s Iftaar celebration, everyone was relieved. Now that things have calmed down, Salman and Shah Rukh are there for each other no matter what. Salman and SRK have been sighted together multiple times since then. They even co-starred in Pathaan in 2023, which drew the most applause from the crowd when they appeared on screen.
