When Saif Ali Khan’s ex-girlfriend Rosa Catalano freaked out at his first magazine shoot with Kareena Kapoor

It was disclosed last year by celebrity photographer Dabboo Ratnani that Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor first got together for his 2005 picture session.

Saif Ali Khan and Kareena Kapoor, the married Bollywood A-list couple, initially met in 2005 for a magazine cover photoshoot that was shot by famous photographer Dabboo Ratnani. In an interview with Siddharth Kannan, Dabboo revealed that Saif’s ex-girlfriend Rosa Catalano was irritated by this photo shoot.

Dabboo said, “There was a good chemistry. Saif ki wo time mei jo girlfriend thi, wo bahut gusse mein ho gayi thi (Saif’s then-girlfriend was very angry). She was there at the shoot. She was like, ‘What is this shoot? Why are they shooting together? They’re not doing a film together right now. Ye kyun shoot ho raha hai? (Why is this shoot happening).’ It was a magazine cover shoot. So I remember she was freaking out.”

He added that after Saif and Kareena Kapoor got together years later, he had enlarged, framed, and given them the photo as a gift from him. “It all started there,” he reminded them. Remarkably, Saif costarred with Karisma Kapoor, Kareena’s older sister, in Sooraj Barjatya’s 1999 family drama Hum Saath – Saath Hain. Around the time of the picture session, Saif and Kareena both starred in LOC: Kargil (2003) and Omkara (2006).

A little about Saif’s dating history:

Saif and actress Amrita Singh lived together in the 1990s before making a sudden decision to tie the knot. Sharmila Tagore, the seasoned actor, admitted as much when she joined her son on Koffee with Karan Season 8; she was so happy that Saif told her a day after they were married.

Following his divorce from Amrita, Saif began dating Rosa, who had roles in films including Shaurya, Chamku, and Shadow. On the Tashan sets, Saif became romantically involved with Kareena in 2008. The two were married in 2012. Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan, also known as Jeh, are their children.
