On July 03, 2020, the sudden demise of the legendary choreographer left a void in the Bollywood industry. The dance choreographer passed away in Mumbai due to cardiac arrest.

Reportedly, Saraj Khan was taken to the hospital on June 20, 2020, when complained of breathlessness. She earlier suffered from Covid-19 but soon the test came out negative. Saroj Khan left for her heavenly abode on July 03 as her Manish Jagwani informed the same to the news agency PTI.

Many fans and celebrities in the industry paid tribute to the veteran choreographer. Among them was Madhuri Dixit, who had won her heart with her diligence and hard work. The two of them went ahead to give some amazing performances to the audiences including ‘Ek Do Teen’, ‘Dola Re Dola’, ‘Tabaah Ho Gaye’.

Madhuri Dixit, on ‘Dance Deewane 3’ had a breakdown as she remembered her mentor post a performance. In an old clip of the show, the host, Bharti Singh can be seen asking the actress if the veteran choreographer ever scolded her, to which ‘Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!’ actress replied, “Hann khaayi hai daat bhi khaayi hai. Ek baar mujhe daat diya kyuki main ro padi kyuki mere director ne mujhe daat diya tha. Toh mere aankhon mein aansun aagaye the aur woh daatti hai, ‘Ro kyu rahi ho? Rone nahi kabhi life mein’. She used to give me that strength on the sets. Bohut bohut bohut unko yaad karti hun. (Yes, I’ve been scolded by her. Once she scolded me for crying after my director had scolded me. My eyes welled up and she said, ‘Why are you crying? Don’t ever cry in life’… I miss her a lot).”

Last year the actress also gave a tribute to the late choreographer by posting a series of pictures and the caption read, “I’m devastated & at an utter loss of words today! Saroj ji was part of my journey since the beginning. She taught me a lot, not just about dance but so much more. There’s a rush of memories in my head thinking of this big personal loss. My heartfelt condolences to the family”.
