When Arijit Singh publicly apologised to Salman Khan after their ugly fight

Following their nasty fight, Arijit Singh’s songs were removed from Salman Khan’s movies.

The legendary singer Arijit Singh needs no introduction, as he has contributed several catchy songs to Bollywood. Almost everyone, from millennials to Gen Z, likes Arijit’s deep voice and the feel of his compositions. Even though the artist is incredibly popular, he has seen some ups and downs in his career. Salman Khan and Arijit reportedly had a serious falling out, but it appears that after nine years, the Bollywood actor has finally forgiven Arijit.

It’s a little-known fact that Arijit Singh once apologised to Salman Khan via social media, making it the talk of the town. It all started back in 2016 when the singer wrote a letter of apology to Salman Khan on Facebook, stating that he tried to apologise by phone or email multiple times but received no answer. Arijit went on to say that he never meant any disrespect to the actor and wrote:

“Dear Mr Salman Khan, This is the last way I thought I would speak to you. I have been trying to text you call you and do everything possible to tell you that you are mistaken about the fact that I insulted you. I never did. That night in the show It was the wrong time and wrong aura. Nevertheless, you felt insulted.”

Arijit Singh continued to pour his heart out and express his love for Salman Khan in his letter. He continued by saying that the actor and his extraordinary talents have always been adored by him and his family. Adding that he did everything in his power to apologise to the actor and even make an effort to defend himself, Arijit said: “And I understood, and I felt extremely sorry about it as me and my family have been your fans since long. I tried to explain so many times, but you never got it. I apologised, but you never got it. How many times I sent you apology texts you also know. At Nita Ji’s place, I only came back to apologise to you, but you didn’t get it. No problem I apologise here In front of everyone, but please it is a request.”

Additionally, Arijit Singh begged Salman Khan not to remove a song he performed for the actor’s movie Sultan. Even though he has performed enough songs over the years, he stated that he hopes to pass away with at least one Salman song in his library. The performer went on to say, “Please do not remove the song that I sang for you in Sultan. You want anyone else to sing this song, absolutely fine but keep a version at least. I have sung enough songs, sir. But I want to retire with at least one song of you keeping in my library. Please do not take away this feeling. I also know you won’t be bothered, Mr Salman Khan. Still I think I need to take it out. After all, I have to live with this fact that you made sure that I don’t sing for you even though so many of us requested.”

For those who don’t know, in 2014, Salman Khan and Arijit Singh’s cold war began at an awards ceremony. As it happened, Salman was hosting the function, and he extended an invitation to Arijit to accept the award live on stage. “Tu hai winner?” the actor questioned Arijit, who was wearing a casual outfit. The singer answered, “Aap logon ne sula diya.” After Arjit’s actions offended Salman, the singer had Arijit’s songs removed from all of his films, including Sultan, Kick, and Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
