When Anushka said Ranveer Singh could never be dated by her, this is why

Ranveer Singh and Anushka Sharma’s first on-screen chemistry came to light with Band Baaja Baraat. Since then, the actors have been rumoured to be dating each other. With the release of Koffee With Karan 8, Ranveer’s appearance on the show has once again sparked the long-lost rumours. A video has been surfacing over the internet for quite some time now. The clip is from the time when Band Baaja Baraat was released in the year 2010.
In the video, Anushka is seen talking about why she never decided to date Ranveer. The actress in a conversation with journalist Anupama Chopra revealed that “Ranveer can’t be a boyfriend”. She even reasoned it by saying that though he is a hardworking and talented actor, he is “quite caught up with himself”. He should be it’s his first film and all the excitement. However, that’s why she said she can never date him.”
Anushka Sharma is now married to Indian cricketer Virat Kohli. She even revealed that I would want a boyfriend who would not only just talk about his day, but also ask how was her day. But Ranveer would never do all this and that’s why I can’t take him.
The actress even described her relationship with Ranveer as ‘volatile.’ She said she could even cut off his head and he could do the same for her. And if they were in a relationship, both would want different things.
During an interview, she also revealed why she didn’t want to date actors. Anushka said, “I don’t want to be dating actors because they are self-obsessed. We all are self-obsessed. I am self-obsessed and I can’t be with someone who is equally self-obsessed.”
