Bollywood actor Shah Rukh Khan has disclosed that he would begin filming his upcoming movie in June 2024. After releasing successful films in 2023 like Jawan, Pathaan, and Dunki, Shah Rukh feels that he can “rest a little” before starting work on his next ventures.
Shah Rukh gave an update on his upcoming project on Friday, May 3, during a talk on Star Sports. “I felt I can rest a little. Teen filmein kar chuka hoon, all of which required a lot of physical work. I told the Kolkata Knight Riders team that main matches ko aaunga this time. Fortunately, meri shooting ab August main hain, ya July… we plan in June, toh June se shuru ho jayegi. So, I would love to come to all the home matches because coming to Kolkata feels like coming home to me.”
He said, “It’s important for me to be here, so I don’t schedule according to my work, but I try my best to be here for all the matches.”

The actor hasn’t disclosed the project’s name or any other information, though. But if, reports are to be believed, Shah Rukh will next share screen space with his daughter, Suhana Khan, in King.
In the meantime, AbRam Khan, Shah Rukh’s younger son, has been stealing the show during the IPL matches with his adorable antics.
Regarding films, Shah Rukh’s most recent big-screen appearance was in Rajkumar Hirani’s Dunki alongside Taapsee Pannu. The actor and actress Suhana Khan, his daughter, will next appear on screen together in King, if reports from the media are to be believed. However, the creators have not yet provided an official statement to support this.
In January 2023, Shah Rukh made a comeback to the big screen with Siddharth Anand’s Pathaan, following a gap of over five years. The movie went on to shatter multiple box office records and rank among the 2023 top grossing movies.
According to reports, Salman Khan and Shah Rukh will co-star in Tiger vs. Pathaan. Tiger (Salman) and Shah Rukh’s Pathaan will square off in the movie.
