Director Meghna Gulzar celebrates her 50th birthday today. She is well-known for helming highly acclaimed films like Sam Bahadur, Raazi, and Talvar. Wishes have been flooding in for her on social media. Vicky Kaushal, star of Sam Bahadur, has now made a lovely post on Instagram to convey affection on this momentous occasion. In addition to wishing her well, he shared an unreleased video of them dancing.
On Wednesday afternoon, Vicky Kaushal posted a video of himself and Meghna Gulzar doing a “birthday dance” on his Instagram page. Even though he was unable to be present for her birthday in person, he still made it extra memorable by sharing a touching post. The adorable footage appears to come from while they were filming Sam Bahadur. Vicky is seen dancing with Meghna Gulzar in a gorgeously lighted gazebo while dressed as Sam Bahadur.
Vicky Kaushal captioned the post saying, “Here’s a little birthday dance with you Meghna… wish I could do it in person today! Every day on set I’d try to be the most hard-working person and every day you’d beat me and everybody else to it. Meghna Gulzar and Vicky Kaushal collaborated on the films Sam Bahadur and Raazi. Raazi, a 2018 film directed by Meghna Gulzar, stars Shishir Sharma, Vicky, Rajit Kapur, Jaideep Ahlawat, and Alia Bhatt.
Vicky most recently appeared in Sam Bahadur, directed by Meghna Gulzar, which was their second joint project. In this film, which is based on the life of Sam Manekshaw, India’s First Field Marshall and military prowess, Vicky played the title role. In addition, Sanya Malhotra plays Sam Manekshaw’s wife Sillloo, and Fatima Sana Shaikh plays Indira Gandhi in the movie.
