The prominent actor and filmmaker took his last breath on the 3rd of May in Chennai. He had shifted to his hometown and was admitted to Apollo Hospital in Chennai due to major liver conditions and was later moved to his home in Saligramam. The actor had been undergoing treatment for the last 15 days. Unfortunately, he had stopped responding to the medication and couldn’t survive.

Manobala was a remarkable actor and had been known extensively for his appearance in Tamil movies. He started his career by being an assistant director to Bharathirajaa in the film ‘Agaya Gangai.’

The actor was highly appreciated by the audience for his comic roles in the movies such as Aranmanai, Naai Sekar Returns, Ethir Neechal etc. Being in the film industry for almost 35 years, Manobala had acted in almost 700 movies and also directed films.

On this fateful event, the superstar Rajinikanth paid tribute to the late actor and tweeted, “I am deeply sad by the passing away of my dear friend Manobala, a famous director and actor. My condolences to his family. May his soul rest in peace.”

Manobala made his last appearance in the Tamil films, Kondraal Paavam and Ghosty. The actor has even shared the screens with the well-known actors Vijay and Dhanush.
