Veer Pahariya made his Bollywood debut alongside Akshay Kumar in a high-octane action thriller Sky Force, earning praise for the film but also drawing certain trolling. A video featuring his hook-step from the movie set the social media abuzz. Some viewers were amused, while others did not hold back their critiques. Unfazed by their mixed reactions, Veer embraced the buzz, joking that becoming a meme has only made him more popular and he is more than happy to ride that wave.
During a conversation with Hauterrfly, Veer revealed that he actually thrives on getting trolled. Reacting to his viral dance move from the song – Rang – he shared how much he enjoys the unexpected fame.
“I have become a meme; can you imagine? I’m immortalized with this dance,” he said enthusiastically. He further joked that just by that ‘langdi’ step, people would recognize him.
He also shared that trolling around his viral dance move has actually boosted his career. He explained it during an interview, wherein he shared that it has increased his social media engagement significantly, hence opening doors for new opportunities.
Since the Rang song went viral, the actor had already performed at two wedding – even pulling off the hook-step with the bride. He had jokingly remarked, “This is my fifth round. If I do two more, the bride will be mine.”
