Actor Varun Dhawan has made a name for himself with his energetic acting and comic timing. The son of director David Dhawan has given us solid hits with movies like Badrinath ki Dulhania, Judwaa 2 and October. Now, according to a report of Mumbai Mirror, the actor is all set to shoot for four back-to-back movies from mid November.
The report stated that the first movie the actor is set to start with will be Good Newwz director Raj Mehta’s next. A source was quoted saying, “The film is tentatively titled Jug Jug Jiyo and is a dramedy hat revolves around the lives of two couples of different generations, played by Varun and Kiara, Anil and Neetu. The situational comedy, spun around a North Indian family promises to be a riot, with the older couple’s strained relationship bringing lots of laughs.”
The next movie in the list is Stree director Amar Kaushik’s horror comedy, titled Bhediya. “It’s diametrically opposite to what Amar did in Stree. This one is more like a dark monster comedy. The shoot will commence early next year in Mumbai. Not just Varun, but even his filmmakerfather, David Dhawan, loves the subject,” the source added.
After Bhediya, it’s Sajid Nadiadwala’s next, titled ‘Sanki’. The report further quoted the source as, “It’s an unabashed commercial entertainer with action, drama and comedy. Varun will try his hand at playing a larger-than-life action hero in this one. The film begins in mid-2021, and is currently being scripted.”
After doing back-to-back comedy projects, the actor will be bringing out his serious face with the next movie. This will be Sriram Raghavan’s Arun Kheterpal biopic. “Ekkis is a period war film which requires multiple people on the set, with real action scenes set against tanks, crowds, and guns. They don’t want to risk by shooting a film of that scale in the middle of a pandemic. So Varun has decided to get a line up in place that will be devoid of big crowd scenes.”
Knowing what a talented actor Varun Dhawan is, it is no doubt that he’ll put his best in all of the projects. Fans are eagerly waiting to watch him on screens once again.
