Sunny Deol has been roped in for Border 2. The actor was also part of the first instalment which was released in 1997. JP Dutta directed Border and the film turned out to be a blockbuster. Now, his daughter Nidhi Dutta has taken the writer’s cap by working on the screenplay. The film is directed by Anurag Singh and Bhushan Kumar will be producing it.
According to a report by Pinkvilla, Varun Dhawan has been roped in by the makers. He will be joining the star cast and sharing screens with Sunny Deol. Border is one of the greatest war films that have been made in Hindi cinema. By casting Varun in a pivotal role, the makers are leaving no stone unturned. The upcoming war film will also be a turning point in Dhawan’s career.
The shooting for Border 2 will commence in November this year. Varun will join the shooting after the release of his upcoming film Baby John. It is scheduled for a December release.
Border 2 will release in January 2026, around Republic Day week. The makers have decided to make it a big hit and deliver the audience with the best cinematic experience. The upcoming war film will bring back nostalgic memories from the time when the first instalment was released.
