Kartik Aaryan and Triptii Dimri were initially roped in to play the lead roles in Anurag Basu’s Aashiqui 3. However, recent reports have suggested a shift in plans. As per the reports by Mid Day, Triptii has stepped away from the project, which has resulted in the delay of its production.
The news portal also reported that the film is also facing disputes related to title, which has led to an indefinite postponement. Official confirmation is still awaited.
“Triptii was excited to headline the romance, but that’s not going to happen now. Aashiqui 3 is undergoing a [title]- related dispute. So, it has been postponed indefinitely,” claimed the report, citing a source.
Meanwhile, Kartik and Anurag are gearing up for a romantic saga, and are planning for the production to go on floors in January 2025. The film is expected to start its production work in Mumbai and casting for the lead actress is currently underway. However, there has been no official announcement.
Earlier, it was reported that the makers of the films feel that Triptii and Kartik would set the screen of fire with their on-screen chemistry.
On the work front, Triptii is all set to work with Shahid Kapoor for his next movie, Arjun Ustara.
