Bappi Da, who introduced nation to disco songs returned to heavenly abode on February 15. Each and ever person called this sudden demise as end of music era.
The 69-year-old singer had been admitted to the hospital for a month and was discharged on Monday.
Bappi Da’s voice was the one that made the nation start groove. The million beats and his unique voice left everyone in awe with his music because he brought joy along with music.
He was a familiar figure for many with his trademark gold chains that he wore for luck and his sunglasses, was known for his songs in several films of the late 70s-80s. These included “Chalte Chalte”, “Disco Dancer”, and “Sharaabi”.
His last long in this Bollywood industry was ‘Bhankas’ was for the 2020 film “Baaghi 3”.
The legend Bappi Da is still an inspiration to all the young artists. Everyone will look towards his song to get inspiration from him now.
He once said, “I don’t sing for awards, I sing for rewards!” He indeed left us with the songs the entire nation will never forget. All his songs will receive a lifetime reward.
