Travis Kelce broke his silence after one person was killed and multiple others were injured at the Kansas City Chiefs Super Bowl parade.
The athlete took to his X and wrote, “I am heartbroken over the tragedy that took place today… My heart is with all who came out to celebrate with us and have been affected.”

As confirmed by the Kansas City Missouri Police Department, on Wednesday, there had been a shooting near the event.
In a statement on X, the department urged the people around the Union Station to vacate the area. It also confirmed that multiple people were struck after shots were “fired near a garage close to the event.”

As per the Kansas City Fire Department, one person is dead and at least 20 have been injured in the shooting. One of the hospitals treating the wounded, shared that nine children are being treated for gunshot wounds, and are expected to make full physical recovery.
As the police launched an investigation, two arms assailants were taken into custody.
