Trade Analysts predict the opening day collection of Akshay Kumar’s upcoming ‘Bell Bottom’

Akshay Kumar starrer Bell Bottom is slated to hit the cinema theatres on 19 August 2021, but Trade Analysts have begun predicting the first day collections of the film

Akshay Kumar is surely a trendsetter in Bollywood with his looks, choice of films and now with his style of release. When everybody was delaying their films during the first wave of Covid-19, Akshay went for an online release with Laxmi. And then all films began releasing on online streaming platforms like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.

This time Akshay is coming to cinema theatres with spy-thriller Bell Bottom. Cinema halls have faced huge losses this year because the makers decided to release their films online. Many cinema theatre owners sold them to malls and restaurants.

But with the entry of an A-list actor like Akshay Kumar, cinema owners are hoping that others will also follow the same path. With the movie release just two days away the trade analysts have begun predicting the first day collections of the film. Komal Nahta, a senior trade analyst said, “The talk around the film is very good and the trailer has been appreciated. It’s the first major release in 17 months, the buzz is growing by the minute and the booking at some places are good too. I think a figure of Rs 7.00 crore will be an outstanding result for Bell Bottom,”

While Girish Johar, an experienced cinema business expert said, “Different states have different guidelines, Maharashtra is completely shut. So, it’s going to be a fractured release. There have been indicators from South and Punjab that the audience has come back but yet, we need to win the audience confidence first. I would have loved a Rs 20 crore opening, but that’s not going to be possible in times like these.”
