Dwayne Douglas Johnson, also known as “Rock,” is his stage name. He spent his early life as a professional wrestler. His contribution to Hollywood is marvellous.
Here is the list of five movies that he starred in:
1. THE RUNDOWN

The rundown of Johnson’s earliest efforts at the start of his Hollywood career Even more than a decade later, it remains the definitive powerhouse of action and comedy.
Rock’s career got a boost after “The Rundown.” The movie casts Johnson as a fixer named Beck who is dispatched to Brazil to rein in his employer’s son. The Rundown’s appeal is all in its execution. Johnson himself shows a knack for playing a more intelligent, nuanced hero, even as he blazes through the jungle and jumps from one set-piece to the next.
2. MOANA

Disney cast him in its 2016 animated princess series. Johnson showed us that he can be just as entertaining in animated form.
The story of Moana follows the adventures of the title character, played by Auli’i Cravalho, a Polynesian chieftain’s daughter who longs to explore the ocean and save her community from extinction. Johnson portrays Maui, a conceited demigod who serves as both her adversary and reluctant partner. It’s a part that plays to Johnson’s customary cinematic strengths and gives him a compelling character arc to explore. Throughout the course of Moana, Maui picks up on some important teachings about how godlike power necessitates godlike responsibility.
3. The Other Guys
The Other Guys’ story line goes like criminals through congested city streets and causes a tonne of collateral damage before taking them down; the Johnson/Jackson team establishes itself as a successful one right from the opening credits.
Johnson is ultimately just one tiny member of a cast that also features Steve Coogan and Michael Keaton. Nevertheless, among his many action comedies, The Other Guys is one of the best.
4. Pain and Gain

Michael Bay’s spectacle-driven blockbusters are so frequently panned by critics that they weren’t sure how to respond when Bay released this unexpectedly thoughtful dark comedy in 2013. Pain and Gain, which is based on a real story, stars Johnson, Mark Wahlberg, and Anthony Mackie as three Miami bodybuilders who turn to kidnapping and extortion to get the money they so desperately want.
Johnson had the chance to portray a distinct type of character in Pain and Gain. This might be the closest he’s ever gotten to playing the obvious villain in a movie, barring The Mummy Returns. This true story of a robbery is presented in Pain and Gain in a very exciting and fashionable way.
5. The Gridiron Gang

Gridiron Gang was a welcome surprise in 2006 because it did a better job than most at eschewing the norm. Like the majority of these movies, Sean Porter’s tale is based on real events. (played by Johnson, of course). The story tracks Porter as he starts a football league at his juvenile detention facility to give at-risk youth a chance to gain some discipline and move past their difficult upbringing.
Because it stays away from many of the apparent beats, Gridiron Gang succeeds. It does not portray racial relations in a theatrical, white-washed manner akin to Remember the Titans. The struggle of the teen protagonists isn’t Hollywoodized. Johnson himself takes part in one of the film’s first wholly dramatic twists.
