Her posthumous movie ‘Dance Dance’ which was released in 1987, showcased her playing the role of Mithun Chakraborty’s sister.

As reported by Bombay Times, an industry person revealed that before B Subhash scheduled the shoot for Super Dancer, the actress revealed about her pregnancy. As the film was based on a brother-sister relationship and demanded a Dance theme, she appealed to taking close-up shots of her.

The industry insider revealed, “B. Subhash agreed, and ‘Super Dancer’ was shot with her radiant face, reflecting the charm of motherhood. My very dear friend Jagdish Aurangabadkar was the PRO of the film and I attended the shooting of ‘Dance Dance’ several times, and she would always greet Jagdish in chaste Marathi,” as reported by ETimes.

The actress opted to wear loose clothes that would hide her baby bump. She was following the commitment for the project that was offered to her. Smita refused to take maternity leave as it would affect the entire efficiency of the film and crew.
