From Rajinikanth to Akshay Kumar, those, who are now living the life of kings, have once known how to fight for their next meal. There is an actor who once didn’t have ration money, the same actor is now a superstar who leads a royal lifestyle even though he is inactive in films.
The actor being referred to in this case is famous for his comedy roles and especially illustrious dancing. Like after he failed to secure a job in the hotel because he could not fluently speak English then he became an actor and later dominated the box office. Yes, he has arrived, none other than Govinda.
Govinda is considered as one of the most popular actors of the Bollywood. In one instance after another, he gained the applause of the audience with his work in comedy parts. Nonetheless, he meet with many challenges in his struggle towards the actualization of the status of a superstar in Bollywood.
He stated in a recent interview that he had a rather challenging childhood characterized by poverty and other issues. The previous life of Govinda was that, his family was not in a position to even afford ration. They had to take loans from the shop to make the survive; He said that as they were not in a position to pay for the ration, the shopkeeper used to make him to stand for hours. Concerning the financial position, Govinda searched for several jobs; considering he did not know English, he could not secure a job.
However, he wanted to make unexpected and so he shifted his path as an actor and entered in the Bollywood by the movie Tan-Badan in the year of 1986. His subsequent two movies namely Love 86 and the Ilzaam did well at the box office. Then he came up to the limelight with the movie Shola Aur Shabnam and also came up with more hits such as Raja Babu, Coolie No. 1, Andolan , Saajan Chale Sasural, Hero No. 1, and by nineties he was considered a superstar.
Televising a report of TV9, Namashi Chakraborty said in an interview that Govinda was a superstar then but even then he used to cook tea on sets for his dad if he accompanied him to sets .
The actor walked away from the film industry in 2017 after producing flops. Though he is not as rich as before, he is still wealthy by any standard and enjoys the finer things in life. Lifestyle Asia reveals that he has income of INR 10- 12 crore per annum, and his worth is more than 170 crore rupees. Large as he remains reportedly today, he still is said to demand around INR 5-6 crore per movie. He negotiates his fees individually per brand, and for a brand; he charges roughly around INR 2 crore that fortifies his financial status.
