The movie starred Thalapathy Vijay and the producers recently confirmed that the diwali release incurred them 20 crore loss.
The movie opened to negative reviews but still managed to do a business on box office as people thronged to watch this film making it a success. But the producers are now confirming the rumours about the film being a huge flop.
The producers confirmed the film suffered a loss that amounts to Rs 20 crores. It has been said that the budget of the film exceeded the pre-decided amount of the producers. This is due to a major football sequence in the movie which took a hefty amount and it is also rumoured that the main reason of exceeding the budget-limit is due to Atlee’s exuberant spending in the movie.

But apart from this loss, the producers still want to collaborate with Thalapathy for a new project and Vijay is also excited to be working again with the team, despite the loss they incurred in the previous movie ‘Bigil’.
