The Tamil actor revealed on Twitter that Venkat Prabhu, who is known for directing blockbuster films like Chennai 600028 (2007), Saroja (2008), Goa (2010), Mankatha (2011), and Maanaadu (2021), would be directing his next feature film.
Vijay shared a 78-second clip with the names of key crew members from the movie as part of the announcement. The movie, tentatively titled Thalapathy 68, will be produced by Kalpathi S. Aghoram for AGS Entertainment. Prabhu will write the narrative. For the movie, renowned musician Yuvan Shankar Raja will compose the soundtrack.

After the film’s completion, Vijay is prepared to enter full-fledged politics in the run-up to the 2026 Tamil Nadu legislative assembly elections, which was further revealed by the publication.
