Lockdown has pushed us to try new things, to add new feathers in our hat and to ponder on those long lost things due to hectic life. Our favourite stars are doing the same. Some are writing, painting, cooking and some are focusing more on maintaining that sleek slender body. Among all this, recently we got to know that Tahira Kashyap, wife of Ayushmann Khurrana is working on her scripts and contemplating on making feature films next. You heard that right!
Tahira Kashyap joined the industry with directing short films like Penni and Toffee in 2018 which received warm reviews. Now, she is planning to take a step ahead to work on full-length films for the Bollywood industry.
In a conversation with Times of India, Kashyap said, “I am taking baby steps. I am slowly and gradually moving towards that direction. My films, ‘Toffee’ and ‘Pinni’ received a lot of love. I have written a couple of feature films. The intention is to make a feature film. Because of this lockdown, now there is a pause button on everybody’s lives. I don’t know what the future holds but the dreams and aspirations are certainly there.”
Tahira was also asked if she would direct the finest actor currently in the industry, her husband Ayushmann Khurrana, to which she said, “I would really love to work with him from the perspective of directing a wonderful artist. He has grown tremendously as an artist. But at the same time, he is senior to me when it comes to working. So I need to earn myself a couple of films or a position where I deserve to direct him.”
This proves that Tahira is true to what she is doing. Her motives are clear and she is taking baby steps to reach the destination. Her answer on respecting her husband and thinking of him as senior to her just won our hearts.
