Taapsee Pannu says she will break all ties with Anurag Kashyap if he is found guilty

Actress Taapsee Pannu has been supporting Anurag Kashyap against the allegations of sexual assault by Payal Ghosh. Taapsee also said that she’ll be the first to break ties with him if found guilty.

As soon as actress Payal Ghosh claimed that filmmaker Anurag Kashyap sexually assaulted her on Twitter, many celebs from Bollywood has been backing up the filmmaker against the allegation. Celebs such as Kalki Koechlin, Anubhav Sinha, Elnaaz Norouzi.

Among the people who are supporting Kashyap, Taapsee Pannu is also someone who has strongly opposed this allegations about him. She also shared a photo with Anurag Kashyap on a set and captioned with a text which read, “For you, my friend , are the biggest feminist I know.

However, the Thappad actress has also spoken to Mumbai Mirror about this and has said that she will be the first to break ties with Anurag if he is proven guilty of sexual assault of Payal Ghosh. She says the reason she supports and trusts the filmmaker so strongly is because of the huge amount of respect he has for women. She added that Kashyap never speaks ill about anyone, even if the person has been disrespective to him in public. Talking more about the allegations, she said, “If he is found guilty, I’ll be the first person to break all ties with him. But if the investigation is inconclusive, how can the sanctity of the #MeToo movement be sustained? How will real victims benefit from a power that’s come to us after years of suppression? It’s wrong for women to derail the movement. Abusing power isn’t gender-specific.”
