On Monday, Netflix posted the news of its ‘Har Din Filmy Campaign’ with the proclamation of slate of eight new titles for the remaining year; ‘Qala’ was one of them that’s quite a highlighted one. But in the introduction of Qala there was no mention of the actress Swastika Mukherjee while she’s going to be seen in a pivotal role alongside Bulbul star Triptii Dimri and the son of Irrfan Khan Babil.

Swastika Mukherjee is one of the renowned actresses of Tollywood industry who made her Bollywood debut with the film Mumbai Cutting in 2008 and later on following a few more works, she is notable for her role in the Bollywood remake of Fault in Our Stars titled Dil Bechara alongside Sushant Singh Rajput that’s also her last work in digital platform. Currently, the actress was heading towards her next digital space film Qala while she goes through an unpleasant occurance.

She was nowhere mentioned in the film credits in a recent post about the film. Her presence seems having no importance as she belongs to “Bengal” as claimed by the actor herself. She took it as a serious insult and pointedly alleged this to be obtained intentionally calling it a “deliberate omission”.

Film critic and trade analyst a prominent name, Taran Adarsh penned a post on Twitter and introduced the film tagging Qala’s lead actors Tripti Dimri and late iconic star Irrfan Khan’s son Babil Khan where there was no utterance of Swastika Mukherjee.
His tweet reads “QALA: SNEAK PEEK INTO ANVITAA DUTT’S DIRECTORIAL… #Qala – #AnvitaaDutt’s directorial – showcased a snippet of a song called #PheroNaNajariya at the #NetflixFilmsDay event… Stars @tripti_dimri23 and #BabilKhan, who debuts with this film (sic),”

“Sir, my name is Swastika Mukherjee, #Qala belongs to me as well, I don’t hail from Mumbai but have been working for 22 years now, it would be great if you mention my small name along with the BIG ONES. Thank you in advance (folded hands emoji) (sic).”

On reply to this, Taran shared a separate tweet mentioning the actor, and wrote, “Thank you for bringing to my attention, @swastika24 Ji… Have done a separate tweet… Looking forward to #Qala.”

She further replied “Sir main zero size ki toh hun nahin aur @NetflixIndia ne cast list toh bheja hoga, Bengal se hun isliye apko dikha nahin, no worries, aap bhulte rahoge aur main dikhatin rahungi (Sir, I’m not size zero and @NetflixIndia must have sent the cast list. I’m from Bengal so you didn’t see; no worries, you will keep on forgetting and I’ll keep showing you),”

After this conversation came into attention the fans supported her while the actress alleged it promptly to be a ‘deliberate omission.’
