In a twitter post, Swara Bhasker reveals that she wants the accused cops in Tamil Nadu’s custodial death case of Jayaraj and Fenix’s death to be booked for murder, rape and torture.
The social media is enraged over the Tamil Nadu’s custodial deaths of a father-son duo named Jayaraj (60) and Bennix (31) in Thoothukudi. The duo was arrested for allegedly keeping their shop open for some time beyond the curfew rules in the state. Within 10 hours in police custody, both Jayaraj and Bennix passed away. When the news broke out on social media, it ignited a wave of protest and netizens started demanding strictest punishments for the police officers responsible for the incident.
According to a report in The Wire, the Madras High Court has found Prima Facie evidence to book the accused cops in the investigation. Re-tweeting the tweet actor Swara Bhasker has requested the court to book the accused cops for murder rape and torture. Her tweet read, “Book them for murder, torture and rape!”
After Swara’s tweet, the netizens got divided into two groups, while some of her followers slammed the actor for passing such judgment without any major evidence, the other section supported her stance.

Earlier, politician Rajinikanth has said, “The manner in which a few police officials behaved with the magistrate has been very shocking. All the officials connected with the incident should be severely punished. They should not be spared.”
