Amidst all the hustle-bustle going in Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case, another shocking twist happened when Sushant’s father, KK Singh filed an FIR against Sushant’s girlfriend, Rhea Chakraborty and her family with the Patna Police.
Soon after the FIR was filed, Rhea’s lawyer filed a petition in the Supreme Court to move the investigation back to the Mumbai Police and Rhea applied for interim bail. Now a lot of questions are being put up as to why Rhea would want the investigation to move back to the Mumbai police when she had requested Amit Shah for a CBI inquiry just a few weeks earlier.
Seeing Rhea Chakraborty’s actions, Vikas Singh, Sushant Singh family’s lawyer has now alleged that someone from the Mumbai Police is helping her. The family’s lawyer spoke to Press Trust Of India (PTI) and in reaction to Rhea’s legal move, he said, “If she has moved the apex court, she should have filed a petition seeking CBI investigation. FIR is registered in Patna, now she has filed a petition in Supreme Court seeking stay and transfer of investigation to Mumbai. Isse jyada kya proof chahiye ki somebody in Mumbai Police is helping her”.
While speaking to India Today in an earlier interview, Vikas Singh had reportedly said that the Mumbai Police had asked Sushant’s father to name big production houses and had refused to file the complainant. He also suggested that the family was unhappy with the way Mumbai Police was conducting the investigation. He alleged that instead of going behind Rhea, the investigation was going in a different direction.
