Sushant Singh Rajput’s brother-in-law Vishal Kirti, husband of Shweta Singh Kirti clarified that Nepometer is not for profit voluntary effort on the micro-blogging website, Twitter. Kai Po Che actor, Sushant Singh Rajput’s untimely demise has ignited many debates in the Bollywood industry.
Many have taken it to social media to voice their concern over the issue, while some celebrities have opened up about their own experiences. Earlier, MNS leader Raj Thackeray has appealed to the artists to contact his party, if they feel neglected and discriminated against in the industry.
Sushant died by suicide on 14 June at his Bandra residence in Mumbai. The actor’s sudden death left his fans, family and friends in a state of shock and sorrow. While the Cops have been investigating his suicide case closely from every possible angle including professional rivalry, Sushant’s brother-in-law Vishal Kirti along with his friend launched Nepometer twitter handle to fight nepotism in the industry with an added feature of Bollywood movies ratings.
Vishal announced the app’s development through his social media handle and encountered the rumours, saying that the app isn’t Sushant’s family priority. The app enables people to make informed choices and is a small tribute to Sushant. There is no profit voluntary effort involved in the process.
Vishal Tweet read, “We’re still grieving. Our focus now is to take care of each other. I shared my brother’s idea of Nepometer because it enables people to make informed choices. It’s a small tribute to Sushant. It’s a not for profit voluntary effort. Please stay patient since it isn’t our 1st priority.”
