No doubt, the actor was excellent in his career but it seems that he was controversy’s favorite child. From getting slapped in front of the public to getting de-verified on Twitter, here are some of the controversies Sushant faced brutally in his life-time.
Ekta Kapoor trolled Sushant for quitting ‘Pavitra Rishta’:
In the year 2011, Sushant Singh Rajput quit Ekta Kapoor’s TV soap, Pavitra Rishta due to the aging factor. Due to which, Ekta Kapoor indirectly pointed Sushant Singh by saying “Jo TV chod dete hai, unhe TV chod deti hai.”
Slapped in public by ex-girlfriend:
In 2015, Sushant Singh Rajput’s ex-girlfriend, Ankita Lokhande slapped him publicly outside Yash Raj Studios. She slapped Sushant because he was badly drunk and was dancing around girls in a very weird way. He was also rumored by netizens for being secretly married to Ankita Lokhande.
Twitter account de-verified:
Sushant Singh’s Twitter handle was doing rounds. In the wake of the #MeToo movement and the mark of protest, Twitter immediately removed the verified badge of Sushant’s profile after the reports of sexual Harassment with Sanjana Sanghi spread on social media. However, when Sanjana refuted the rumors of being sexually harassed by the actor, Twitter returned him the verified badge.
Backlash from Twitter
Sushant Singh received a huge backlash from Twitter for his tweet that he made just after Shahid Kapoor received the Best Actor Award at IIFA for film ‘Udta Punjab’. Subsequently, he tweeted, “@iifa hahaha.”
