In the new development in actor Sushant Singh Rajput‘s case, notable advocate Mukul Rohatgi is all set to appear for the Bihar Government in the Supreme Court. Rohatgi has earlier served as the Attorney General for India from 2014-17. Rhea Chakraborty, who is the prime accused in the matter, filed a petition in the apex court to transfer the case from Bihar to Mumbai. However, the Bihar Government decided to come in support of Sushant’s family and oppose Rhea’s plea before the SC.
A caveat has also been filed by Sushant’s family after Rhea moved to the apex court for the transfer of case. They took this step for not allowing Rhea Chakraborty’s petition to be heard. Sushant’s family lawyer Vikas Singh will represent the family in the court proceedings.
On Tuesday, Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh filed an FIR against Rhea and five others. They have been booked under the charges of abetting the suicide, embezzlement, cheating, and conspiracy under Sections 340, 342, 380, 406, 420, 306 of the IPC. Besides the Mumbai team, four officers of the Bihar Police are reportedly working to unfold the truth in Sushant’s death case.
Sushant’s father has made major allegations against the actress which includes, taking money, overdosing medicines as well as keeping the late actor away from family. Even Sushant’s ex-girlfriend Ankita Lokhande, in her statement to the Bihar Police, revealed that the late actor was harassed by Rhea, was quite unhappy in the relationship and wanted to end it.
Sushant Singh Rajput committed suicide on June 14. His demise created a wave of shock among the fans as well as the industry.
