On 19th August, Supreme Court gave their final verdict on Sushant Singh Rajput‘s case, where they probed CBI to take over the investigation. Now, CBI team which will be led by CBI’s Superintendent of Police (SP) Nupur Prasad has finally reached Mumbai. They were spotted wearing face masks and shields in Mumbai airport on Thursday evening.

Before arriving, the CBI team sent an application to civic body, BMC to spare them from being quarantined. According to Pinkvilla, BMC has accepted the application of not sending the team of 16 members for quarantine. Earlier, when Bihar IPS Vinay Singh visited Mumbai, he was ‘forcibly’ quarantined, which is why CBI asked for the permission so that the investigation goes smoothly.

According to media reports, CBI team will question everybody who were present on the day of late actor’s death. Beside them, Rhea Chakraborty and her family will also record their statements. According to CBI sources, they will start questioning Sushant’s staff and flatmate Siddharth Pithani. Earlier, Sushant’s father KK Singh filed an FIR against Rhea, accusing her of mentally harassing the late actor and pushing him to take his own life. Sushant’s fans, family members as well as some celebrities wanted Rhea to be arrested on the ground of abetment to suicide. However, reports suggests that CBI will not arrest Rhea until proper evidence are presented to them.

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead in his Bandra Apartment on 14th June. Since then, his fans, family members and people of the Bollywood industry are fighting for justice to the late actor.
