Suriya’s sincere note on NEET exam trends on Twitter with #TNStandsWithSuriya

Suriya took to his Twitter handle and posted a heartfelt empathetic message to those who died by suicide and encouraged people to stand up against NEET.

In the Kollywood entertainment industry, Suriya has always shown a huge involvement in the education system and he has often highlighted the importance of education to the youth. With three students in Tamil Nadu passing away by committing suicide due to the fear over the medical entrance examination NEET, the actor took it to Twitter and penned a uncompromising note, where he criticised the education system. In the post, he also urged people to come together and raise their voice against NEET.

The actor wrote in the tweet, “My heart goes out to the three families…! Can’t imagine their pain… The news of three students committing suicide on the same day over NEET fears has shaken my conscience. There’s nothing more shameful than offering words of comfort instead of best wishes to students who are sitting for an exam. That students have to write exams and prove their worth in a life-threatening situation like the corona pandemic pains me.”

After this hard-hitting post, fans, followers and other celebrities expressed their support to the actor in this regard. Other celebrities including R Madhavan and Kamal Haasan also showed disappointment over the death of the students. R Madhavan wrote, “Two students die by suicide a day before NEET.
