Suniel Shetty is on cloud nine as he will be soon become grandfather. During his appearance on Chanda Kochhar’s podcast, he revealed when his daughter Athiya Shetty’s first baby, with cricketer KL Rahul is due.
Upon being asked what dinner table conversation looks like in the Shetty household, he replied, “Right now, probably the grandchild. There’s no other conversation, and we don’t want any other conversation. We’re just looking forward (to meeting the grandchild) in April.”
He also added that he thinks his daughter looks the most beautiful now. “Everything revolves around the baby; whether it’s a boy, it’s a girl, nothing matters. I always thought, I mean women overall, but I always thought Mana (his wife) looked the most beautiful when she was pregnant. I see Athiya and she’s looking the most beautiful.”
Athiya and Rahul announced in November last year that they will be welcoming their first ever child in 2025. The couple tied the knot in January 2023 after dating for a few years.
Last year, in April, Suniel, during his appearance on Dance Deewane, had shared that when he return next year, he “will be walking on stage like a nana.”
Following the statement, there were speculations of Athiya’s pregnancy, but it was not until November 2024 when the couple made the announcement.
