Suhana Khan is preparing to make her cinematic debut alongside her father, Shah Rukh Khan; pre-production work has already begun, and the film is slated to go into production later this year.
Shah Rukh Khan is riding high on the success of his most recent theatrical release, Pathaan, and expectations for his next two films, Jawaan and Dunki, are sky high. While the celebrity has already finished filming for Jawaan, the Dunki production is set to wrap in a fortnight. The industry is already speculating about what SRK will do next before tackling India’s biggest action picture, Tiger versus Pathaan, next year.
Shah Rukh Khan’s next film will begin production in the fourth quarter of this year. It will be a reunion of SRK and Siddharth Anand after Pathaan, but this time as producers.
Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand collaborated as actors and directors in Pathaan, and the duo is now ready to collaborate in many capacities in this untitled project. Red Chillies Entertainment and Marflix Pictures will collaborate on the untitled picture. “Pre-production work has already begun, and all stakeholders are eager to get the film on the ground,” said a person connected to the project. For the time being, the director’s identity remains unknown.
The fact that the film will also mark the cinematic debut of Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter, Suhana Khan, makes it even more significant for him. She recently completed filming for her acting debut, Archies, directed by Zoya Akhtar and co-starring Agastya Nanda and Khushi Kapoor.
It will be produced by Red Chillies Entertainment, which is already developing many projects in-house, including SRK’s upcoming two tentpole features, Jawaan and Dunki, as well as Marflix Pictures, which has Fighter on the ground and is preparing for Rambo with Tiger Shroff later this year. “Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand are ready to deepen their friendship by collaborating on a film.”
Beside Suhana, the film will include a strong ensemble cast, and casting is now underway. Speaking of Shah Rukh Khan and Siddharth Anand, the two are expected to reunite in 2024 as actors and directors, with the latter directing India’s largest action picture, Tiger vs. Pathaan. The picture, which has yet to be named, will have a large theatrical release in 2024.
