The Archies film was released on the 7th of December and since then it has been making headlines on social media. The entire cast of the film along with Zoya Akhtar made their presence on Kaun Banega Crorepati season 15 to promote their movie.
In the episode, Vedang Raina, Suhana Khan and Zoya Akhtar played the quiz. During the Super Sandook Segment, Amitabh Bachchan asked Suhana, “Shah Rukh Khan has not yet received which of these honours?” The options for the question were: (A) Padma Shri (B) Legion of Honour (C) L’Etoile d’Or (D) Volpi Cup.
Suhana hurried upon and said Padma Shri. The option was locked and it turned out to be wrong. Reacting to Suhana’s answer, Vedang asked her, “How could you get that wrong?” Amitabh Bachchan was also startled at the answer and teased her by saying, “Beti ko pata nahi hai ki pita ko kya mila hai.” (The daughter doesn’t even know what his father has received).
Bachchan further added by saying, “Keval baap ne itna hi bata ke bheja hai ki wo samne baitha hai usne tumhare baap ka kirdaar adaa kiya hai. Toh unko bol dena ki bhaiya jara aaram se sawaal pucho. Abhi itna aaram se sawaal pucha phir bhi uska jawab nahi de payi ye.”
Earlier, Amitabh Bachchan asked Suhana if Shah Rukh Khan had given her any advice before coming to the show. She said he had told her to remind Bachchan that he played a father of SRK’s father, so ask easy questions to Suhana.
The veteran actor-turned-host also asked Suhana if SRK had given her any advice before her debut film. To that Suhana replied by saying, “He told me to listen to two voices, the director and your heart and the rest will fall into place.”
Suhana Khan recently made her debut with The Archies. Directed by Zoya Akhtar, the film also features Agastya Nanda, Khushi Kapoor, Vedang Raina, Mihir Ahuja, Dot and Yuvraj Menda. The film is streaming on Netflix. It is based on the American comic series Archies and is set in the fictional town of Riverdale.
