Abhishek Banerjee, who is currently enjoying the fruits of his latest released movies Stree 2 and Vedaa, has made it to the headlines recently for allegedly being fired from a film produced by Dharma Productions. In no time, Abhishek created a lot of controversy with his statement.
To the naive, Abhishek recently announced that he and a friend were fired from the film Agneepath for which they had been hired. He even said that director Karan Malhotra had told during the shoot that he did not like the casting and that they were casting Anurag Kashyap-type actors. Abhishek even stated that Karan did not like it and said nikal jaao humaari film se.
Post his statement, Karan Johar, along with the director Karan Malhotra, came in the firing line, and they began to face trolls. Now, Abhishek issued a statement and said that he has read and heard a lot of things regarding that Dharma Productions had dismissed his company, Casting Bay while conducting a casting session of Agneepath (2012). He even mentioned that the situation has been given an accusatory tone in terms of the party. He said, “In a podcast/interview, I had stated the reason for our dismissal, acknowledging that we were unable to align with the vision of director Karan Malhotra for Agneepath. I also emphasized that Anmol and I were quite young at the time, around 20 to 23 years old, with little to no experience in casting for a major commercial film, which perhaps led to us misinterpreting Mr Malhotra’s requirements for the project.”
