The female lead in Mitti has been finalised to be the South Indian Sreeleela who will be acting opposite Sidharth Malhotra. Directed by Balwinder Singh Janjua, the film has been making much hoopla, and now that Sreeleela has joined the cast, it has created much more interest.

As per the reports by Pinkvilla, the actress did not think twice before signing on the dotted line for the film given the that it has a powerful script with an author-backed role for the actress. The shoot of Mitti is expected to begin in October 2024: shooting will follow a start-to-end pattern in North India.

Apparently, the preparation stage is already active, and the crew looks forward to starting the shooting during the winter. The movie is defined as an action-family drama rooted that promises to bring out the action hero in Sidharth Malhotra, who gets a new avatar that includes the challenging part.

Speaking of Mitti, it will be a full action drama movie shot on the backdrop of places in Uttarakhand. Discussing the project, director Janjua revealed that it tells the story of guilt, family and the concept of land or ‘zameen’ and because the film is so closely linked with the cultural aspects of ‘mitti,’ it would be of interest to the viewers.
