Sonu Sood pledges to help students travel for JEE and NEET exams

Actor Sonu Sood tweeted that will help students from flood-hit areas in reaching their examination centres for NEET and JEE.

After the Supreme Court rejected the plea seeking postponement of the exams NEET (National Eligibility and Entrance Test) and JEE Main (Joint Entrance Examination) 2020 on August 17, there has been an uproar in the country to postpone these exams. Six states have filed a review petition in the Supreme Court against its decision of conducting these exams in September despite the coronavirus pandemic. The states of West Bengal, Maharashtra, Rajasthan, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Punjab have requested the Court to postpone these exams. There has been a considerable amount of dialogue about the same on social media. Recently, actor Sonu Sood, who has been helping migrants to reach their homes, also voiced his opinion on this issue.

Sonu Sood took to Twitter on Friday morning to announce that he intends to help students who will appear for the above-mentioned exams. Retweeting journalist Nidhi Taneja’s tweet, he wrote “In case #JEE_NEET happens:  To all the students who will be appearing & are struck in flood-hit areas of Bihar, Assam & Gujarat. Do let me know ur areas of travel. Trying to make ur travel arrangements to reach ur examination centres. No one should miss their exam bec of resources”.

Earlier, the actor had also supported the students in their demand for the postponement of exams considering the on-going pandemic.
