The actor’s death has sparked debate on nepotism and ‘insiders vs outsiders’ in the film industry. The debate on insider vs outsiders has divided the film industry. On one side star kids are being trolled in social media for having the privilege which outsiders don’t get and on the other side stars who do not have any filmy background are coming out with their own stories.
In a recent in an interview with TimesNow Singer Sonu Nigam who spoke about “Mafia’s” of Bollywood last month has recently opened up about nepotism and power in Bollywood the singer shared, “I am not from the acting industry. People who are from the acting industry are doing perhaps what is needed – detoxifying. There is a mafia, I don’t know how big it is in the film industry because I don’t really deal with them.” The singer also added that there are music mafias in Bollywood which are severe than film mafia.
Sonu Nigam also spoke about actress Kangana Ranaut’s claims about Mahesh Bhatt throwing a slipper at her on the set of their film. He stated that he believes Kangana Ranaut, he believes it must have really happened. Sonu went on to add, “The people who could be wrong for her may mean nothing to me. I have probably had no experiences, even though I have been working for them for last 25-30 years, but I might have none such experiences for those people. But if she is saying that they have done something to her which is as ugly as this, I choose to believe her because I don’t think people are so crazy that they will make up stories like that.”
