Aditya Roy Kapoor and Disha Patani starrer, Mohit Suri directed, Malang performed well at the Box Office, early this year. Aditya Roy Kapur, Disha Patani, Anil Kapoor and Kunal Kemmu took everyone with surprise with their power-packed performances in the film. Audiences loved the music and soundtrack of the film as well.
Director Mohit Suri has already announced a sequel to the first part which will be backed by the same producers who bankroll the first part. Malang was co-produced by Bhushan Kumar, Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg. The first part gave a major hint in the end credits and Shraddha Kapoor will be seen as the leading lady in the film as reported by Pinkvilla.
Recently Pinkvilla reported, Aditya or Disha won’t be repeated in the second instalment of the franchise. “They are going to have a fresh on-screen pairing for part two. They are very clear about it. Shraddha was already told about Malang 2 when she was brought in to do the little voiceover. Now, they have decided to not repeat the leads. They might come in for cameos, but the leads will be different.”A source told Pinkvilla.
The source has further been quoted by the entertainment portal as saying, “Sidharth is on top of their list. They are waiting for the lockdown to get over to pitch it to him. Mohit has just finished the script and since he has a good relationship with Sid, he will take it forward from here.” It will be the second time, after ‘Ek Villain’ that Sidharth-Shraddha and Mohit will be seen together if everything goes well.
Mohit Suri is currently working on Ek Villain 2 and will shoot it first. While Sidharth is also doing ‘Thank God’ alongside Ajay Devgn and Thadam remake.
