Shruti Haasan and Santanu Hazarika have reportedly split up. Before splitting up, the couple had been dating for some time and even lived together. The former couple also unfollowed each other on Instagram.
Although Shruti has yet to comment on the divorce, Santanu was asked about it and did not share the cause of their breakup.
“I’m sorry, I don’t wish to comment on it,” Santanu told the Bombay Times. Meanwhile, a source told the publication that the split was amicable. “Since there were personal wavelength issues, they decided to part ways amicably,” the source said.
Although Shruti has been quiet about the divorce, she recently posted a mysterious message on her Instagram account, saying, “It’s been a crazy ride, learning so much about myself and about people.” She also deleted posts with Santanu.
Shruti and Santanu were frequently photographed together, and they never hesitated to flaunt their affection in public. Santanu is a well-known doodle artist who also works in other mediums. He has collaborated with some well-known celebrities, including Raftaar, Divine, and Ritviz.
In an exclusive interview with News18 a few months ago, Santanu discussed their love and their constant public appearance. He claimed that it might be “demanding” and discussed the backlash he received for being Shruti’s beau.
Earlier this year, social media sensation Orry or Orhan Awatramani fueled wedding rumours when he referred to Santanu as Shruti’s husband. Shruti later stated that they were not married. “So, I’m not married. For someone who has been open about every single thing, why would I hide this? LOL. So people who don’t know me at all, please calm down,” she stated on Instagram Stories.
Meanwhile, Shruti Haasan was last seen at work in Salaar. The film also had Prabhas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in the key roles and was well received by all. Salaar grossed more than Rs 700 crore at the box office worldwide.
