Many Indian celebrities and social media sensations attended the Cannes International Film Festival this year. Shruti Haasan is one among them.
Shruti first attended the film festival during 2017 to support her movie ‘Sangamithra’. Later, she was not a part of the movie. She re-appeared in Cannes after 6 years. Sruti took her Instagram and posted a video of her Cannes red carpet moment. She captioned the post as, “So special to be here for @breakingthroughthelens with the founder and my incredible director of “the eye” @daphneschmon .. date night with Daphs was simply the best #cannes2023 #projectsilence”.
Shruti looks stunning in a black midi dress. She did a bold makeup with rep lips and wore black heels. She also shared some stills on her Instagram.
As per the sources, Shruti will be present in a round-table conference on gender parity with the chief guest of honour. The event is Activating Change and it is hosted by Breaking Through the Lens. the event will focus on challenges faced by underrepresented genders in the film industry face. She also quoted, “I have also been part of films where my roles have been cut at the editing table or have been seen as the second lead to the man. But, when I get the opportunity to do female-driven subjects, I will do them.”
