Shreyas Talpade loves ‘Golmaal’ movies as much as we do

Shreyas Talpade says he’d like to be a part of Rohit Shetty’s Golmaal films as long as he’s working in films.

Shreyas Talpade has stated that the forthcoming installment of his famous comedy franchise, Golmaal, excites him as well. Rohit Shetty had told fans that Gomaal 5 will be released shortly, but production on the new film is yet to commence. Shreyas appeared in the 2008 film Golmaal Returns, which also starred Ajay Devgan, Arshad Warsi, Kareena Kapoor, and Tusshar Kapoor.

The first Golmaal film, Golmaal: Fun Unlimited, was released in 2006 and starred Sharman Joshi, Tusshar Kapoor, and Arshad Warsi in addition to Ajay Devgan. Since then, Rohit has released three Golmaal sequels: Golmaal Returns, Golmaal 3 and Golmaal Again.

Shreyas told ETimes, “To be honest, not only the fans, but even we are looking forward to Golmaal 5.” Just before the epidemic hit, Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn stated that the next edition of Golmaal would be shot. Unfortunately, COVID occurred, and everything changed. To be completely honest, we have no idea what the story is. It is only Rohit who is aware of it. So, once he calls and informs us, we’ll be able to discuss it further. But, like the fans, we are looking forward to Golmaal 5.”

When asked to recall any memorable on-set moments, Shreyas stated that every day on the film sets is a party day. “We must give credit to our captain, Rohit Shetty, because the atmosphere on his sets is always lively and fun.” I read somewhere that Rohit claimed he will keep making Golmaal as long as he can.

Shreyas Talpade’s most recent Hindi film was Kaun Pravin Tambe. He will now make his directorial debut with Kangana Ranaut’s Emergency. Shreyas plays former Indian Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee in the film, which also stars Anupam Kher, Mahima Chaudhary, Milind Soman, and the late Satish Kaushik.
