Shraddha Kapoor is known for not holding it back and being frank when it comes to sharing an opinion. Having established herself in Bollywood and with two successful films in the current year’s release, the actress recently spoke about equal pay for equal work in the movie business. She expressed optimism over gradual improvement occurring and recalled the changes in remuneration in top stars. She said that choices about what will most benefit a movie and guarantee that it is produced according to the desired plan are made by producers.
At a recent launch event, Shraddha talked about the changes in the industry, ever since she debuted in 2010 with Teen Patti. She asserted that her pay has drastically increased but she also noted that pay disparity still exist. The actress, however, added that there are signs of progress towards bridging it. The actress also touched on shifting compensation for main actors and mentioned that such decisions belong to producers.
She said, “Whatever is going to work positively in the making of a film, the way it is supposed to be made, those calls the producers will have to take. It’s their vision. I feel like there are a few who have long-term vision and really know where the industry is headed. There is no uniform way which everybody is following.”
