Sania is a true pioneer in her field. She has served as a major source of inspiration for the nation’s female athletes, and in her final match, she persevered all the way to the very finish to almost give the Grand Slams a perfect ending. Not to mention, Sania started her Grand Slam career here in 2005 and will complete it in 2023.
The audience applauded during Sania’s final address, which she delivered while crying. Sania has continued to get messages and compliments since her most recent match. In her illustrious career playing doubles, Sania has won six Grand Slam titles. It has won two Australian Open championships, two US Open championships, one Wimbledon championship, and one French Open championship.
Her husband Shoaib Malik also tweeted after her final match at Australian Open, writing about her amazing career. “You are the much needed hope for all the women in sports. There were rumours that they were divorcing. According to insider sources, Sania and Malik decided to separate ways a few months ago. The pair remained silent throughout the entire situation, though, and later together they started a chat programme called The Mirza Malik Show in which they interview famous people about their lives. The rumours stopped as soon as the show began. However, Shoaib is still not mentioned in Sania’s tweets or in his Instagram photos, thus the future of their relationship is still in question.
