Actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband, Raj Kundra was arrested by Mumbai police on Monday. He has been alleged for involvement in producing and streaming pornographic content via an app called ‘Hotshots’. Raj was named as the ‘key conspirator’ in the case by the police. Shilpa Shetty has maintained silence over the case so far. Recently, she posted a quote on her Instagram story that talks about surviving challenges.
Shilpa shared a picture of one of the pages of a book that had a quote by James Thurber at the top. It read, “Do not look back in anger, or forward in fear, but around in awareness.”
“I take a deep breath, knowing that I’m lucky to be alive. I have survived challenges in the past and I will survive challenges in the future. Nothing need distract me from living my life today” read the post.
No active involvement of Shilpa Shetty was found in the investigation yet. A source, on condition of anonymity, told ETimes, “Shilpa Shetty is one of the directors of Viaan Industries while the police investigation is probing into Kenrin only.” Kenrin, a UK-based company, is the owner of the Hotshots app.
Kundra has been booked under sections 420 (cheating), 34 (common intention), 292, and 293 (related to obscene and indecent advertisements and displays) of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) besides relevant sections of the IT Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.
