On Friday, Shilpa Shetty revealed some details about Raj Kundra’s case during her interrogation by Mumbai Police. Shilpa said that she was unaware of the Hotshots app’s content and claimed that her husband Raj Kundra was innocent. She also mentioned that the content on the app was ‘erotic’ and not ‘pornographic’.
According to ANI sources, Shilpa told Mumbai Police that she was not aware of the exact content of the Hotshot app and she has nothing to do with the application. She also claimed that her husband was not involved with producing porn content and was innocent. Shilpa revealed that their London-based brother-in-law, Pradeep Bakshi was involved with the functioning of the app.
Further, she also mentioned that the content of erotica is different from pornography and other OTT platforms are full of similar erotic content which is not considered as ‘porn’.
Mumbai Police conducted a raid on Shilpa Shetty’s house to find out whether the actress has any active involvement in the alleged porn racket. Police are also checking if any monetary transactions in Shilpa’s account could be related to earnings from the porn racket.
Raj Kundra and his associates are sent to police custody till July 27. The businessman has moved to the Bombay High court and challenged the cases against him. His plead states, “Without following the due process of law under the provisions of Section 41A of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, as mandated by the Supreme Court from time to time, police arrested Kundra by calling him under the grab of recording a statement.”
Shilpa Shetty was the director of Viaan industries (a firm owned by Raj Kundra). Recently, she resigned from her post.
