Shilpa Shetty and her businessman husband Raj Kundra found themselves in the middle of a controversy when a bullion trader Prithviraj Saremal Kothari filed a complaint against them, in 2022, and their associates. As per them, Shilpa and Raj orchestrated a scheme called ‘Satyug Gold’ and enticed investors by promising them lucrative returns on gold investments regardless of market fluctuations. The complaint led to Mumbai Sessions Court to order a thorough investigation into the allegations.
Now, about two years later, Shilpa and Raj’s advocate, Prashant Patil, have revealed a statement mentioning that they have not committed any offense. The statement also revealed that they will be handling the case legally and will be cooperating with the investigating agencies.
“After thorough investigation, it was found that the complainant had infact received the entire alleged amount of Rs. 90 lacs through legitimate means of payment.”
The advocate also shared that after 2 years, the court has ordered the police to reinvestigate the case.
