Filmmaker Shekhar Kapur was supposed to work with late actor Sushant Singh Rajput in his movie, “Paani.” Unfortunately, the movie was shelved and the reason hasn’t been disclosed yet. Sharing an unseen picture from his research for the movie, Shekhar wrote, ” Shot 12 years ago. Part of huge bank of #Paani research pics/illustrations. The film script is about a future city where the wealthy take all the water. And then use water as a weapon of political and social control. It’s a cautionary tale of what’s coming if we’re not careful.”

Earlier, he even expressed that if this movie were to be made, he’d like to dedicate it to Sushant Singh Rajput. He took to twitter to write about it.

As he was outside the city, he emailed the statement to the police. Even after considering the email, the Police are waiting for him to return and clarify the statement.

On July 24, Sushant’s last movie ‘Dil Bechara‘ was premiered on Disney+Hotstar. Directed by Mukesh Chhabra, it also stars Sanjana Sanghi. The movie is available to all subscribers as well as non-subscribers.
