Shehnaaz Kaur Gill seems to be having a sudden reluctance to get denominated as “young kat” or “Punjab ki Katrina Kaif” while she introduced herself as Punjab ki Katrina Kaif in Salman Khan’s Bigg Boss 13 in 2019 through which she rose to fame. Previously, she had been a Punjabi actress-singer and she was recorded several times to flaunt herself with a haircut like Kat and exactly resembling her.

In a Rapid Fire round a popular reality show Bollywood Bubble, Shehnaaz’s answers revealed a lot about her.
At a point she was asked about what she would like to ask on meeting Katrina Kaif. Answering to which Shehnaaz replies ‘How’s Vicky Kaushal?’
When she was asked further about being called ‘Punjab Ki Katrina Kaif’, Shehnaaz Gill appeals to not ever call her by this name and refers that this title had been a ‘mistake’ that she won’t be welcoming again.
She exclaims ‘I don’t want to be Punjab Ki Katrina Kaif. Galti ho gayi, mujhe maaf kar do. I just want to be Shehnaaz Gill from India.’
Shehnaaz also elaborated on why she finds it unwelcoming. Previously, in the Boring Day making video shared by Yashraj Mukhate, Shehnaaz had said that the title of ‘Punjab ki Katrina’ should go to Katrina Kaif now that she is married to Vicky Kaushal, a Punjabi.
She also opens up about having immense respect and admiration for Kartik Aaryan and wishes him good luck and success in his career. She says ‘Aap kaam karo, aap life mein bahut successful ho jao, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 4, 5 and 6 karo.
In the rapid-fire, when asked about Alia Bhatt, she laughed and said that she would ask to talk to Ranbir Kapoor, ‘Arre pakdna phone, baat karni hai!’ (Give him the phone, I would love to talk to him).’ She also informs her most favourite Bollywood couple is Sonam Kapoor and Anand Ahuja.
