Shefali Jariwala, widely remembered as the ‘Kaanta Laga’ girl, has passed away at the age of 41 following a cardiac arrest, leaving the entertainment industry in shock.
Shefali first shot to fame in 2002 with her appearance in the iconic music video Kaanta Laga, which instantly made her a household name. Her popularity led to a role in the 2004 Bollywood hit Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, where she shared screen space with Salman Khan, Akshay Kumar, and Priyanka Chopra, marking her Bollywood debut.
In 2011, Shefali made her mark in regional cinema with the Kannada film Hudugaru, starring opposite Puneeth Rajkumar. She later transitioned to television and digital platforms, featuring in reality shows like Nach Baliye 5 and 7, and entering the Bigg Boss 13 house in 2019, where she gained renewed popularity.
Her acting journey continued with her appearance in ALTBalaji’s web series Baby Come Naa in 2018, and most recently, she returned to television fiction with Shaitani Rasmein in 2024.
Apart from her professional life, Shefali was vocal about her personal battles, especially her long struggle with epilepsy, which she had openly discussed in recent interviews.
